Member Registration

Members: Entities, not individuals, which are/directly support or develop any of the following solidarity economy formations: consumer cooperatives, worker cooperatives, producer cooperatives, low-income housing cooperatives, community development credit unions, cooperative development loan funds, community gardens, mutual housing associations, time banks, barter networks, and community land trusts. Groups may include community-based and social justice organizations, trade unions, and cultural organizations, and solidarity economy enterprises and associations. Groups must be based in New York City or have a significant investment in the five boroughs.

Each entity can choose to make a donation but it not required to pay a fee to join. All members have the right to speak and vote in the annual general assembly and to join working committees and run for election to the Board of Directors. In the case where a member corresponds to multiple sectoral constituency criteria it may only exercise its right to vote in one constituency.
